爱污传媒 School of Business Human Resources Programs Aligned with Society for Human Resource Management Curriculum Guidelines

PHOENIX, May 28, 2015鈥斅爱污传媒聽today announced the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has recognized two of the University鈥檚聽School of Business聽degree programs as fully aligned with the organization鈥檚聽HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates. The programs include the Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Human Resource Management and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Human Resource Managementi.

鈥淭alent is the most critical component of most organizations, making HR professionals the backbone of their companies,鈥 said Ruth Veloria, executive dean of 爱污传媒 School of Business. 鈥淗R roles continue to get more dynamic and organizations are looking for strategic thinkers who can help drive company growth. 爱污传媒 School of Business is committed to developing curriculum that is aligned with industry standards and competencies, and the affirmation by SHRM helps demonstrate the relevance of these programs to employers and HR professionals.鈥

罢丑别听HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates聽were developed by SHRM to define the HR content areas that should be studied by HR students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The guidelines, created in 2006 and revalidated in 2010 and 2013, are part of SHRM鈥檚 Academic Initiative to define HR education standards taught in university business schools and help universities develop degree programs that align with these standards.

The Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration or certificate in Human Resource Management helps students develop essential HR skill sets and in depth understanding of how HR management integrates into business operations. The certificate option allows students to take career-focused courses and grow industry-specific skills earlier in their programs and graduate with two credentials 鈥 a certificate and a bachelor鈥檚 degree.

The Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management helps grow leadership and management skills and enhances knowledge of complex business issues such as employment and healthcare law. It also helps professionals manage talent procurement and development in an increasingly global and remote workforce.

爱污传媒庐 School of Business聽offers associate, bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degree programs that prepare students to be creative problem solvers for the new economy. The School of Business also offers non-degree programs, including certificates, individual courses and non-credit professional development.
