The Student Accommodation Office ensures students with disabilities have access to the University鈥檚 curriculum, programs, activities and services. Learn more about what we do.聽
Our intake team is responsible for supporting students throughout the accommodations request process. The intake manager works with a team of intake specialists who meet directly with students to discuss their diagnosis, how it affects them, their educational experiences and how accommodations might help them manage the impact of their disability.聽
Our accommodations team works with students after they have been approved for accommodations. Led by our accommodations manager, our team of specialists meet with students to discuss how to use accommodations in class 鈥 including how to manage accommodations with the symptoms of their diagnosis and balance their workload. The accommodations team is also available to consult with faculty regarding implementing accommodations in class.
Our accessibility & usability team is committed to ensuring that all students, including those with disabilities, have equal access to digital content and resources shared in class and online. Their expertise lies in evaluating and ensuring that all content meets web accessibility guidelines and providing guidance to content development teams to help create inclusive and accessible material. They also support students in their use of assistive technology and digital content.聽

Please consult a member of the Accommodations team or the Section 504 Coordinator if an issue arises regarding your accommodation, including delivery of accommodations in a course, the classroom environment as related to your disability or accommodations and any other challenges or difficulties related to your disability.
Students who wish to file a formal ADA grievance must inform the Student Accommodations Office and complete the Initiation of Formal ADA Grievance Form. Students may also file a complaint directly with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) in the U.S. Department of Education, regardless of whether they have filed an internal grievance. .
