Karin Polifko, PhD
Karin Polifko鈥檚 career has spanned the academic and service fields of health care. In addition to her current role as Staff Faculty in the DHA program working as a Dissertation Chair, Dr. Polifko has held various leadership roles, including Vice President and Associate Chief Academic Officer, Academic Director of Doctoral Healthcare Programs, Vice President of Operations and Academic Affairs, and Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs. Dr. Polifko has worked extensively with new program development, curricular design and revision, programmatic accreditation, mentoring new faculty and leaders, and evaluating face-to-face and online healthcare education at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
In addition to higher education, Dr. Polifko has administrative experience in various acute care healthcare settings, including the roles of Vice President of System Development and Research and Administrative Director for Critical Care Services. She is the author of three textbooks and has presented in various workshops and seminars, both nationally and internationally, specializing in cultural values within work and educational environments.
